Major investment in Design Talents

We lift the designers of the future with a powerful new initiative

With personalized coaching, international expertise and a comprehensive marketing package, Design Talents will be a unique platform where the next generation of design stars will have the opportunity to connect, be seen and grow.

Since its inception over ten years ago, Design Talents has grown into an established platform where Swedish and international designers get the chance to showcase their products, network and take crucial steps into the industry. From all applicants, around 20 designers are selected before each fair and offered the opportunity to exhibit at a reduced price in a specially designed area. All are automatically entered into the Best in Show competition.

– Design Talents is one of Formex’s most appreciated features, and with this new initiative we want to give even greater support, encouragement and attention to designers – both artistically and commercially,” says Sonja Björk Ebert, Project Manager for Formex.

This is what the winner of Design Talents Best in Show gets

Award for most inspiring stand

In addition to Best in Show, a new award is introduced this year: Most inspiring stand. The winner will be rewarded with a hotel night at Bank Hotel – a partner of Formex 2025.

– I feel both excited and honored to be on the jury for emerging design companies at the fair. Design Talents was an important stepping stone for me – a chance to test ideas, meet the industry and take my place in the design world. I love that the initiative is now taking on a new level,” says Lisa Bengtsson.
