Anna Krantz wins Design Talents’ Best in Show in January 2026
Formex Design Talents is a competition for emerging designers, giving them the opportunity to connect with the industry and showcase their products to buyers, manufacturers, and the media. From among the nominees, one entry is ultimately selected as the winner of “Best in Show,” and in January 2026, the award went to Anna Krantz for her product, the Midsummer Flagpole.
Swedish craftsmanship and tradition meet innovation in Anna Krantz’s Midsummer Flagpole. Each finished product is made of fabric and produced in Sweden, made-to-order. With a well-thought-out design and simple functionality, an existing flagpole can be transformed into a full-scale Midsummer pole in just a few minutes—without complicated logistics, time-consuming assembly, or significant resources. Every stitch, every choice of material, and every detail has been carefully considered to create a Midsummer pole that is both beautiful to look at and intuitive to use—year after year. A piece of craftsmanship that combines both function and style, which won over the jury.

– This is a fantastic recognition after three years of dedicated hard work in the garage. Being named a Design Talent validates both my journey and the idea behind the Midsummer Flagpole—to make one of our strongest traditions accessible to more people. The award provides valuable visibility, opens doors to new collaborations, and gives me the energy to continue building with a focus on quality, sustainability, and tradition,” says Anna Krantz after the jury presented the “Best in Show” award at Formex in January 2026.
