First up is Frida Ramstedt, author and founder of Trendenser. <\/p>\n<p>Ahead of the premiere, Frida described what she was looking for:<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 My goal is to highlight a product that reflects the values Trendenser stands for\u2014namely, knowledge-driven design. \u201cIt could be an idea born from an understanding of a material or a specific craftsmanship technique, or from an understanding of how a particular form can support a practical function, so that the product becomes more than just something beautiful to look at,\u201d she says. <\/p>\n<p>The winning product will also receive exposure on her channels, which reach followers even outside of Sweden. Her interior design guides have been translated into 30 languages. <\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s recipient of the In Focus award is FORM 01 by Skrufs Glasbruk, in collaboration with Linn\u00e9r Projects. Kent Elm, CEO and co-owner of Skrufs Glasbruk, and Johanna Linn\u00e9r, founder of Linn\u00e9r Projects, will accept the award. <\/p>\n<p>The jury\u2019s statement:<br \/>\nThe FORM 01 collection combines craftsmanship, knowledge of materials, and Swedish manufacturing with a respectful approach to what has already been created. Instead of starting from scratch, Johanna builds upon existing knowledge, history, and timeless forms. <\/p>\n<p>It is a project that both preserves and revitalizes, and that demonstrates the value of preserving Swedish craftsmanship by actually putting it to use.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt means a great deal to both Kent and me. FORM 01, as the series is called, focuses on timeless, clean lines. The collection is made of clear glass and is based on old molds that have been reused.
