The entrance square exhibition "A Nordic fairytale"

Creator and florist Anna Starrén created a 200 square meter entrance square exhibitiondesigned as a shop to provide inspiration, knowledge and new dimensions for everyone who visited the fair.

Formex Trends Fall/Winter 2024

Designer and creator Jan Rundgren presented the upcoming trends for the Fall/Winter 2024 season with inspirational images, color schemes, excitement and thoughts.

In an environment created by Silk-ka and technology from Leilo, visitors- could immortalize their Formex visit.

In the Formex Pop-up Shop in Hall A visitors could find design news from Formex’s various areas, as well as a variety of books and magazines.

Curated by Jan Rundgren who has collected trend-setting products from our exhibitors that fit well with the trends for the upcoming Fall/Winter 2024 season: “Fiery Flirting”, “Sense of Symbiosis” and “Keep Calm and Carry On”.

This season's theme - WE ARE.

WE ARE – A theme that will permeate the fair in trends, knowledge and inspiration in the form of exhibitions, workshops and lectures. With the theme, we want to manifest that Formex is a trade fair that has existed for 64 years and will remain for many years to come. #weareformex

Design Talents

Design Talents is one of the most exciting elements of Formex.
In Hall A, talented and unestablished designers from Sweden and abroad showcase their innovative design solutions and products.

Fun at Christmas - A Christmas tree exhibition

Five creators from Skåne, Dalarna and Stockholm have each been given the honor of dressing a Christmas tree to their own taste.
See, among other things, a schlager tree, a recycled tree and a Christmas tree in this year’s trend colors.

The five creators are: Helena Lyth, Fredrik Nilsson, Sophia Forslund, Cissi Åhlen and Trendstefan.

Sustainable?
An exhibition on sustainability

IMMA consists of Malin Jensen, Maria Lagerman and Maria Soxbo who work with sustainability issues in interior design, concepts, business models and communication.

In the exhibition “Sustainable?” they take a holistic approach to the transition in the world of design – and encourage visitors to think about their own role.

In the entrance square at Formex, there is a small houseplant exhibition where Anna Starrén, Bosse Rappne, Nicole Wilson, Hanna Wendelbo, Kristina Lagerqvist and Trendstefan have been asked what houseplants really mean to them.

The Garden Café by Silk-ka

Silk-ka decorates a café inspired by The Great Gatsby of the 1920s.
The café is created by Silk-ka Flowers, which produces flowers and plants in silk.

Hilke Café

Giovanna Hilke creates Hilke Café, a fairytale world of over 200 square meters. Hilke Collection has entered into a design collaboration with Moomin Characters and is launching a new product line for the table setting, based on Tove Jansson’s first Moomin book “The Moomins and the Great Flood”.

Creative workshop of reuse

A creative workshop with the creation of milk thistles, tomato paste tubes and worn paperbacks.
Using simple techniques, Helena Lyth teaches us how what would end up in the recycling station can become beautiful decorations and ornaments.

Multisensory customer experience

Learn about designing for all senses with Interior Design courses!
Creating a rich and varied sensory experience can not only attract more customers, but also create stronger and more lasting memories for them.

Bundle Dye Workshop

Learn how to dye fabric non-toxically. Annika Sandstedt from Jaxtorp teaches how to change fabrics using only flowers as color from nature. We discuss and compare the results.
New for this time are many fresh flowers to color with!

Open craft workshop: Linocut

With Matilda Persson, illustrator and artist, we learn the basics of linocut printing.
Feel free to carve in the material, make a finished print or explore your own ideas.

Open craft workshop: Carving

Under the guidance of carving expert Peter Starrén from Snedskuret, you can try out the basics of carving.
Carve a spoon, a hairpin or maybe something completely different!

Open craft workshop: Paper flowers

Come, test and feel the power of crepe paper together with the main creator of the entrance square, Anna Starrén.
Anna will show you everything she knows as you make paper flowers together!

Experiential Sessions - Wellbeing Soul

Wellbeing Soul, in collaboration with Formex, offers visitors to the fair the opportunity to try out different methods to improve their wellbeing.
The company is run by Lotta Ahlvar, Reine Walfridsson, Annika Olmås Nordström and Vanya Pernilla Mårtens, all of whom are well-known profiles and have worked for a long time in design, interior design and marketing communication.
All four are currently active in health and work both with individual clients and organize larger workshops for companies.

In their large, bright stand, they offer visitors an extensive workshop program and exciting trials: for example, cocoa ceremony, crystal reading, chakra breathing, sound healing, scent meditation, intuitive tarot, shaking, tapping, breathwork and guided relaxation, as well as demonstrations of Kinesiology and Rose Therapy and more.

Formex Sustainability Walk

Explore sustainability with Maria Soxbo, sustainability professional and jury chair of the Formex Sustainability Award. Join us for an inspiring walk through Formex where we visit the “Sustainable?” exhibition and several exciting companies to discover eight angles on sustainability and climate-smart design. Don’t miss the chance to learn more about sustainability at a fast pace!

Join one of Sweden’s foremost trend experts @trendstefan on a tour through Formex.
For about an hour, Stefan Nilsson guides us through both halls of the fair and visits the best and the most.
Join us for a fast-paced walk and lots of entertainment.
