A long-awaited returnee

After many faithful years at Formex, A Lot Decoration chose to test their wings and exhibit in their own showroom in Falköping in January.
Their absence was noticeable and they were in demand by both visitors and other exhibitors.
In August they are back!

The beauty of Formex

Lars describes exhibiting in his own showroom in Falköping as a fun and successful project, but nothing that has replaced the trade fair medium. A Lot is back at Formex in August!

– For us, it’s important to be at trade fairs and meet different kinds of customers in real life. There is so much energy and commitment at Formex and it’s great to be able to spontaneously invite you for a cup of coffee and a chat. That is the beauty of Formex. Generally, there is no similar meeting place with that possibility, says A Lot’s CEO Lars Bonander.

A team activity!

Preparations for the August fair have been underway since early May. Lars highlights the importance of careful preparation for a good result at the fair, where much can be prepared at home. At A Lot, scenery has been painted, displays have been planned from the customer’s perspective, new products have been placed and calculations have been made on what they can offer during Formex.

– We plan the stand based on several aspects and what we want the customer to see. But most of all, we coach employees that this is something we do as a team. With long trade fair days, it is important that we encourage them. Being at Formex is a three-day party, something we do together!

The importance of long-term customer relationships

Lars thinks the best thing about the exhibition floor is the mix of people, and tells a favorite memory from Formex. Two young girls with a start-up online shop visited the fair, and with a limited budget they asked how much they had to buy. Nothing, Lars replied and the girls were so happy.

– The smallest order today can become your biggest customer in five years and that’s the best thing about Formex. Meeting so many different customers, creating long-term relationships and following their development,” Lars continues. They think they are small compared to us. But, whoever is small today may not be small tomorrow. A Lot’s customers are often small shops that are loyal to their products, something they hope will continue thanks to many meetings at the fair.

– We may not be known to the general public, but A Lot is known in the trade and that makes the trade fair medium perfect for us. In August, we hope for many small to medium-sized meetings, says Lars and continues. We are very much looking forward to the fair in August where we will focus on showcasing our large fall and Christmas range.
